Stickers on the chest, arms and legs record the heart's electrical signal in a few minutes. It picks up heart attacks, rhythm problems and strain from high BP.
2D Echo
An ultrasound probe on the chest shows the heart pumping, its valves and the fluid around it. It tells the doctor how strong the heart muscle is.

Frequently asked questions
Is a 2D Echo painful?
No. It is an ultrasound. A cool gel and a probe are moved over the chest for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Do I need to fast for ECG or 2D Echo?
No fasting is needed for either test.
